BLAC Centre Captains

Before the beginning of each season the affiliated Clubs are requested to nominate one boy and one girl for the positions of Centre Captains. Nominations do not necessarily have to be from the Club’s own members but the athlete must be registered with the Belmont Little Athletics Centre at the time of nomination.
The nominations are sent to the Centre Executive Officer by the nominated closing date and are voted on by the Centre Executive at the meeting prior to Opening Ceremony of that season. Badges with “Belmont Centre Captain” and the athlete’s name are presented at the Opening Ceremony.
Centre Captains represent the Centre’s athletes, carry the Centre banner and lead the March Past at Centre and State Events. Centre Captains lead the March Past while carrying the Centre banner at the Closing Ceremony of the season for which they are elected and the Opening Ceremony for the following season. They should wear the Centre uniform for those occasions. They are expected to help out with Belmont Special Events when they are able.
